tootsie pops, silly faces and ponytails...

We are having a busy summer. Cale is having a lot of fun this summer, however, her fun is being sidelined b/c of a recent fear of bugs. This mainly applies to flies, but you can really assume any bug will freak her out. Our outdoor activities have been somewhat limited the past week due to this. I am really hoping this ends soon.
Aunt Abby was over today so she tried to coax Cale into allowing us to put pigtails in her hair. as you can see on the slide show- the pigtails lasted for about 10 seconds... I will be posting some new photos of Leah soon. she is such an easygoing little gal.

What a weekend. It was just plain wonderful to be outside the past few days. We were able to take an inagural swim in the lake where Andy's parents have land. It was great. Cale didn't love being in the water- but she loved being in the little yellow row boat and splasing. She was fascinated by the oars. We all had a lot of fun.
Leah hung out in the shade- and was her normal happy baby self. Hopefully next year she can enjoy a swim too! The fireworks were fascinating for Cale. She held the sparklers and kept asking for more. Her favorite part- cheering us on for lighting the fireworks- and then dunking them in a bucket of water after they were done.
Other big news from this weekend... Cale no longer has her "mimi"- not since Thursday at nap time. Mimi is her name for her pacifier- so we are ALL DONE with her binkys! We couldn't be more excited for this "big girl" milestone! Looking forward to seeing many of our friends and family on Cale's 2nd birthday. Coming up soon!
