Girls Day

We had a fun day outside on Tuesday. Cale is now into finding Grasshoppers- so we spent a fair amount of time searching for Grasshoppers. Leah loves to be outside and just loves to watch Cale and the other kids playing. Cale loves popsicles- so we were having a little purple popsicle this afternoon. A perfect summer afternoon and evening.

I love YOU momma

I couldn't resist posting these photos. We are having so much fun these past 2 weeks. I am back to my part-time schedule- and the girls and I are just loving it.
Cale is enjoying the out of doors again (flies are not near as scary as they were a month ago) and Leah just loves to hear the sounds of Cale and the neighbor kids playing. Leah loves her exersaucer- and she is just full of smiles. I am really working on Cale and the ponytail. In fact, I told her a little white lie. I told her that she needed to wear her a ponytail for the doctor today. IT WORKED!!! She left the ponytail on top of her head in ALL DAY! It is a small step- but her hair is out of control. We also had a playdate today with 2 friends of mine and their little girls. It was really fun to see them play- and amazing to think how fast the time is going by. I hope you enjoy the video of Cale. I love her new words that she learns everyday- and I love that she speaks in sentences. My favorite sweet thing she says right now is, "I hold you momma" when she wants to be picked up. It is just too sweet- so I don't correct her- I like when she says it too much!!! I figure that it won't last too much longer.

Baptism Day

Today was Leah's baptism at our church. Of course she wore her special gown that Grandma Jane made. She was just perfect the whole morning. Cale enjoyed church too and was a huge fan of getting to be on stage. It was a really special time for us and we were so glad that so many of you were able to be there. We feel so very blessed to have such supportive family and friends.
Here are a few photos...

Leah Lucille

Here is a recent picture of Leah. She is such a wonderful baby. She is really beginning to show her personality- just last night she was giggling at me when I played with her toes. Leah loves to watch Cale- and still loves to be held. She will be 4 months on August 14th. Leah will be baptized this coming Sunday at the 9:15am worship service. I am anxious to try on her baptism gown and see how much different she looks than Cale!

Cale turns TWO! July 31st 2008

2 years have come and gone. We can't believe Cale is 2! She likes to tell you that she is 2 by saying, "two" and holding up all 5 fingers. She had so much fun at Tunnel Voyage with all of her friends and family. Thanks to everyone for being there-it was fun for us too. Other fun things Cale is up to these days... she loves to paint and play with her Play Doh. I think my favorite sweet thing that she does right now is say, "awww" when she comes over to us. She will say, "momma- awww" and nuzzle her head in for a hug or a snuggle. I guess I love that b/c she picked it up from us always "awwwing" at the sweet things she does. Although she is awfully sweet... she is learning to test our patience in new ways. She has learned the art of stalling before bed- just in time for her new "big girl" bed. I'll have to post a pic of her in her new bed. Last night was her first night in it- and she did stay in bed all night. Andy did the bedtime- so he gets all the credit for goodbye crib day.
Hopefully she will get used to it fast! I don't need any more reasons to be up at night!
