A crazy day...

Today was wild! We had a very busy weekend- and today was just the same!
I am busy working on Birthday stuff for Cale... cake making, cake class and more. Meanwhile Andy is painting and fixing up the garage. We needed some serious shelving in the garage for all of our "toys." He worked all weekend on painting and is now building shelves. Yea! I posted pictures of Cale "helping him."
The girls and I ventured to Paradise Park this morning and played- then after early naps ran some errands. I wanted to check out the new JCPenny... anyway- Leah had bumped her head earlier in the day and started acting CRAZY fussy. Leah rarely cries to the point that you can't calm her down and that is what she was doing. The bump on her forehead had since turned blue and purple- so I panicked and ran her to the dr. luckily it was only 5pm. They say she is okay- and she finally calmed down after 2 hours of crying. (I suppose she had a headache??)
Since she was okay- we went on about our day- and I took CAle to get her haircut.
She wanted to go... so we went. I think we will let her bangs grow out now.
Hoping Tuesday is calm, quiet and productive!!!

At the Movies...

Today we took the kids to see Elmo in Grouchland at the local movie theater. My Dad joined us as well as some friends.
The kids all had fun- but Leah got a little tired of it toward the end... luckily my Dad held her and she fell asleep. She kept saying, "ELMO, ELMO, ELMO" really loudly.
It was a 'kid friendly' movie- so no one seemed to mind!

Fishing Pole

Cale got a new Scooby Doo fishing pole for a trip last weekend with Aunt Jess, Uncle Duke and Emily. They all took Great Grandma to the lake to fish. Andy did not take any pictures while they were there... too busy helping everyone with their fishing poles, but i thought this was worth posting. She was SO very excited about her own fishing pole.

VBS 2009

I have the most adorable video to post... but still no luck on getting them from the camera to the computer... Andy will try to help me again tonight. Cale got to have her first on stage performance at church on Sunday. The kids were all adorable and when Cale got to the stage, before they started singing- she said, "HI PAPA" really loudly.
everyone started laughing. Hope to have the video up soon!
Update: I have located my videos... so I am going to post a few.

Wrestle time

Cale and Leah love to wrestle- but they get a little wild and out of control- so I let them wrestle in Leah's crib for a bit while I supervised. I know they had fun...and they were all cooped up!

Swimming breakthrough

Cale finally decided to try swimming. This was our 3rd attempt at getting her to leave the steps of Barbara and Johns pool. She wouldn't even let us hold her in the past. however, on Sat- I finally coaxed her out and she loved it. she swam up and down with her little intertube float. I was so excited for her. I am going to post a few pics and try to post a video also. My videos aren't uploading like they used to thanks to windows updates- so I am going to need to consult my computer tech guy.
Stay tuned!

Swimming at Nanny and PaPa's house

Friday was a fun day for us. We got to swim and play at Nanny and PaPa's house and it was great. Erin joined us- and we all enjoyed the day. While the kids were resting- Erin and I even got to swim. Actual swimming. not just holding kids in the pool.
I think we are headed back for more swim time very soon!

Cale is almost 3!

I have to start by saying...I am without much motivation this week! not good. I have lots to do- and am just not feeling too motivated to get photos uploaded and online. I am due a slide show from our crazy and fun 4th of July weekend. In the meantime... here are 2 of my favorite photos from then and now. Cale turns 3 on July 31st. She is going to go to Children's Day Out preschool starting on September 1st. I can speak for all of us when I say that she is ready- and it will be good for her to be out in the "world" 2 days a week.
I am w/o motivation but not without some sentimental feelings about her turning 3! I love her growing up- but can't believe it!

Kick off of the 4th

Thanks to Toni and Scott for having us over on Thursday night for a 4th of July kickoff party! We all had a blast- Cale loves fireworks and Leah did well too.
I will post a slideshow from our whole weekend after all of our festivities! Looking forward to a great weekend!

Yellow wubbie

Cale still loves her Yellow wubbie! I bought "the yellow" when I worked for Gap and GapKids/BabyGap about 9 years ago...she adores this blanket. good thing I spent all that money on sale items!

This is for you Chris!

Leah has some great hair right now... it is at that lovely awkward stage... where it really needs to be "fixed" but she won't keep anything in. Today, I decided to try and fix her hair while she was eating...and she didn't seem to mind. Her hair is still so thin that the pony tail won't stay in too long. At least she looks cute!
