Happy New Year!

Happy 2009 everyone! I have to say that 2008 went by very fast for our family. Our little Leah helped fill our free time! We are so excited for this new year.
I am having a bit of a sentimental moment...when I saw these pictures I couldn't help but think how "big" and grown up Cale seems all of the sudden. It reminds me of when I had Leah back in April. Cale seemed huge after that...and here we are again.
It is as if she grew 3 inches overnight and her hair is lots longer and she can say EVERYTHING! As she nears the 2 1/2 mark- I have to say that she is a really good girl. She ADORES playing hide and seek with her family (a big shout out to the best hide and seek players out there) and she loves to tell me how to drive (faster, slower, hurry up, wrong way etc). Also, she loves to tell me what Leah is saying. I suppose they will have their own language very soon.

Leah is growing fast. She will be 9 months in about 2 weeks. I am excited to get her pictures taken and see how much she weighs at the dr. It was really hard to get Leah to look at the camera for any pictures on New Years. We took the girls to Legacy Park to swim and they had a blast. Leah loves bathtime- so this was a special treat for her. She was not able to do much "swimming" on our trip to FL in September because the water wasn't heated and it was a little chilly. As of 12/29 I have finally started making her sleep through the night- and it seems that we are all happier. Daddy too! I was really dreading letting her cry - but she did great. She is a happy girl. Leah is pulling up on everything and likes to stand up and play. She still likes to be wherever Cale is as she does not like missing the action.
As I type, I am giving her some banana to see how she does with it... she is loving it so far.
Best wishes to everyone in 2009!

You guys are so good about getting the girls out and doing things! What fun-so glad that Lee's Summit still offers good values and recreational opportunities for residents! It's why we moved there in 1978! How about that!

Leah looks like she is having a good time. Maybe it's time I take Kellen. Glad Leah is STTN, 9 months was when I couldn't take it anymore, too!

The girls are getting so big (and cuter if that is possible). Next time you head to the water park give us a shout. The kids would love getting in there with the girls! Happy new year! :)
