What are we doing today?

We have really had some fun in May- and it is only the 5th! We visited with the Lee's Summit Fire Department at Safety Day and got to check out all of their gear. Also, the kids got to sit in a police car and get on a school bus. Cale was a little unsure at first- but warmed up. She practiced telling the police and firemen "Thank you for helping people" it was sweet. She also gave the firemen some dandelions. I bet they were so impressed! On Sunday, we went to the zoo- and the kids love that. Both of them enjoyed the animals and the playground and as usual Andy and I had a blast. We even ran into our friends Brian and Chris and their kiddos. Great day for the zoo. I found Cale a few garage sale items this weekend...including the bike with training wheels. She really likes it and it was cheap!! On Monday we visited Paradise Park with some friends. Cale and Leah both love it there- and it was nice so we got to play outside and go "fishing" in their little pond for magnetic fish. Cale loved this. We are so thankful to have so many fun things to do!

Cale looks so big in her Gap sweatshirt! And the pic of Leah in the green shirt is really good - looks professional!

Yeah for Lee's Summit! It was the schools and parks that drew us to LS 32 years ago! It's nice that new businesses there have also made Lee's Summit a family friendly place to remain! As always, KC/LS is a great place and the girls are so lucky to have you for a Mom!
